Jan’s ability to “get the job done” has come from many years’ employment in a variety of work experiences teaching her the value of planning and attention to details.

While raising a family of four, Jan busied herself in the fields of bank loans, insurance claims, abstracting and real estate, before plunging into a very diverse career in corrections. During that career she gained valuable experience in management of all operational and industrial facets of a large institution. Her natural communication and team-building skills were recognized in her assignment as Chief of Labor Management Relations and Employee Relations at the national level.

Jan retired from public service in 1993 and has continued to work intermittently in financial positions for various businesses. After several years of touring North America on a motorcycle with husband Jim, they came to Colorado in 2003 and together designed and built their dream home outside of Cripple Creek. Camping, hiking, skiing, photography, gourmet cooking and keeping track of 23 grandchildren are among their favorite hobbies.

Jan has served her former community by providing affordable housing for thirty years, and has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. She loves being a part of the enthusiastic and energetic team at Stillwater Financial, and pours her heart into promoting YOUR success in owning or refinancing a home by processing your loans timely and as smoothly as possible.
